Vacuum Field Service Tech in the Salt Lake City, UT, Juni 2010
Dynamic service provider is currently seeking a Field Service Tech in the Salt Lake City, UT.
Duties include:
Servicing production equipment in High Tech Fabrication Plants.
This position entails accomplishing all preventative maintenance,
unscheduled maintenance and installations on a variety of vacuum and exhaust management systems.
Maintaining and replacing equipment, tools, and supplies when used, providing written documentation of repairs,
and interfacing with the customer. Weekly travel in the extended local area is required - an occasional overnight stay may be required.
Qualifications:
AA degree in Electronics, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent work experience.
Hands-on experience with electromechanical systems. Two (2) or more years customer service experience preferred.
Hands-on experience with vacuum pumps including Edwards, Ebara, Alcatel and Leybold dry, rotary vane and boosters
Clean driving record. Background and drug testing is required.
Pay is dependent upon qualifications/experience. We offer health, vision, dental, and 401k. Relocation assistance may be available.

The European XFEL will make available X-rays of unique quality for studies in physics, chemistry, life
sciences, materials research and others. Located in the Hamburg area, Germany, it will comprise
scientific instruments for a wide range of experimental techniques. Construction of the European is
underway, its commissioning is scheduled for 2014. The European XFEL GmbH is a non-profit company
with DESY as the main shareholder. In the overall task of design, construction, installation and operation
of the vacuum systems of X-ray beam transport and experiments we are looking for a
Senior engineer vacuum systems (f/m)
The position
- definition of vacuum specifications
- definition and selection of a vacuum control system
- support of the beam transport group in issues related to vacuum
- build-up of a vacuum group in the course of the project
- during the operation phase also: supervision and maintenance of the vacuum systems
Requirements
- degree in engineering or equivalent and several years of working experience
- background in ultra high vacuum technology, mechatronics or physical engineering
- ideal: experience in the design and/or operation of large scale vacuum systems at accelerator or
- X-ray installations
- documented organizational skills
Salary and benefits are similar to those of public service organizations in Germany. Handicapped
