MTC suction cup covers provide a protective interface between vacuum suction cups and sensitive workpiece surfaces. They are particularly suitable for glass handling and production processes where reducing direct elastomer contact, contamination and visible suction cup marks is important.
The covers are made from a durable non-woven material and are available in a wide range of sizes for round, oval and other suitable suction cups and suction plates. Typical applications include laminated glass, insulating glass, coated glass, painted surfaces, sheet metal and other surface-sensitive workpieces.
Originally developed and patented by euroTECH Handling GmbH, MTC suction cup covers can be fitted to suitable existing vacuum cups and are reusable. Because adding a permeable interface can affect vacuum performance depending on the application, the actual vacuum level and holding capacity should be verified under operating conditions.
